Week 1 - doing laundry
I am a major procrastinator. It’s not something you’d expect from someone who managed to build a successful business but, if I’m not feeling super motivated to do something then it’s unlikely that it’ll get done. Once in a blue moon though, I’ll have a surge of motivation and try to do absolutely everything. It often happens when I’ve gone through a change, so when I’ve moved countries or got a new job or moved house. So, as expected, this first week of my adult gap year was incredibly productive. Things I decided to start this week include; running (I hate running), journalling, taking my vitamins regularly and drinking the recommended amount of water amongst other things. I’ve managed to see friends more, walk more, do all of my laundry (annoyingly with a new fabric softener that I’m pretty sure I’m allergic to) and keep my flat tidy. Deleting social media has also probably contributed to me sticking with these things because it means I’m spending considerably less time on my phone which was a real enabler when it come to me procrastinating.
This week ranged from me getting acupuncture and reflexology to me going to margate and partying until 3.30am at Ministry of Sound (while tracking my activity with my new apple watch because that whole ring closing things is addictive af). I’ve felt productive but I also have this looming feeling, wondering how long this productive stint will last - going by this very lazy Sunday, I fear it will be soon. Anyway, as I’m mainly using this as my own online journal and for my friends and family to see what I’m getting up to while I’m not on social media, here’s some photos from this week:
